Dear Friends,

Thank you for being a part of the Junior Achievement mission. This year, we reached over 10,000 students across Rhode Island and we could not have done this without you!  JA is preparing for our centennial in 2019. We have come a long way, but we could not have done this alone.

In March, JA launched its newest signature program called JA Inspire. This new program allows 8th grade students to research and explore high demand/high wage careers in Rhode Island. In addition to the classroom course work, students are invited to the Rhode Island Convention Center to experience what it would be like to work in these industries. Students get to meet mentors from these companies, learn about the educational requirements for a career in that industry and most importantly they get to interact with a hands-on, experiential activity related to that career. Over the next three years, JA Inspire will be reaching 100% of Rhode Island’s 8th grade student population.

In addition, we are now entering the 3rd year of our 5-year strategic plan, which is focused on:

  • Educational Excellence

  • Resource Development

  • Board Recruitment and Engagement

By 2021, JA will be reaching more than 10% of Rhode Island students, be more financially secure, and have a more engaged and diverse board that represents current and relevant industries throughout Rhode Island.

We hope that you will help us continue to advance our mission – to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in the global economy.

Please enjoy this year’s Annual Impact Report and visit all the sections to see how we together are making an impact on Rhode Island’s young people.
